HDRI Backgrounds (Pro Edition)

Improve on Reality

Once the location has been shot (or the HDRI environments purchased) this is just the start of crafting the HDRI map for the perfect lighting and reflections.

Users can import existing HDRI environments and enhance them to create more dynamic renders that bring out the best in their subject matter. This enables a totally new lighting process that's a mix of retouching and 3D. Enhancing the original HDRI and seeing the results on your 3D model provides more realistic results than retouching a render in post-production.

All the benefits of working in HDR Light Studio still apply when even when enhancing existing HDRI environments:

HDR Gradient Backgrounds

Using two gradient ramps for luminosity and color, you can design a simple or complex vertical gradient that sits behind your lights and surround your scene. This can be used to create an ambient background light level, studio backdrop or you can be more creative and generate synthetic sky conditions for different times of the day or night to add drama to your renders.

Transparent Backgrounds

Select the transparent background setting and users can save a .EXR file that contains an alpha channel for the lighting design. This can be opened in a photo editing or compositing package, such as Adobe Photoshop, to add adjustments and explore more creative possibilities.
